Welcome to the ranch! We look forward to your visit, and want you to have a fun and memorable experience getting to know the wonderful world of alpacas. Here's a few tips to help you plan your day.
Upon arrival please pull into our driveway and ring the call button on the driver's side to let us know you have arrived. Parking is available inside the gate.
Our septic system cannot accommodate the number of visitors to the ranch, but we do provide an outdoor porta potty for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Public restrooms are available at Ronald Reagan Sports Park on Rancho Vista and Margarita Road.
Please be on time and plan for traffic. We schedule tours every two hours, therefore it is likely another group will be coming in after you. We want you to enjoy every minute with us.
Please leave your pets comfortably at home. For liability reasons we cannot allow other animals on the property.
The majority of the tour is spent on relatively flat ground and is accessible by wheelchairs and walkers. We have some gravel in the parking area, but the rest is sidewalks, decomposed granite and asphalt. Some of our animals are on a lower portion of the property and we will walk down a gravel driveway to see them. Please let your tour guide know if you need assistance getting to the lower portion, or you are welcome to remain in the main area for that part of the tour.
Dress appropriately for the weather; closed-toed shoes are recommended but not necessary. Hats, sunscreen and light clothing are recommended for the warmer days.
Bring your camera! There will be lots of opportunities for photo ops.
Parents, keep a close eye on your young children. They get very excited (which we love) but running frightens our alpacas. Children may not climb fences or throw rocks--we want to keep everyone safe, both humans and animals.
Most importantly, have fun! But beware--alpacas may just steal your heart!
