Fiber/Pet Quality Males

Pet quality, alpaca males are animals that did not quite make the cut in the showring, and now are offered inexpensively as pets for anyone to enjoy. They make wonderful additions to any family that wants to experience the joys of raising livestock with gentle, quiet and clean animals. Fiber enthusiasts can enjoy a yearly crop of beautiful alpaca fiber with which to spin, knit or crochet. And everyone will enjoy watching the beautiful alpacas play and roam on their property.

We will help you with all aspects of caring for your alpacas, and will support you in learning what they need to be healthy and happy. Alpacas need to have a "buddy" in order to feel secure, so we do request that you buy them in pairs unless you have another alpaca, llama or other suitable companion for them to live with. When you buy two, we will discount the price 15%, three or more 20%, as we love for them to go to their new homes with a familiar friend!

	Sambuca is one of our favorite males at the Hacienda. He's very friendly, and has been our PR animal since he was weaned. His fleece is beautiful, very bundled and crimpy--an excellent fleece for producing yarns. Great on a halter, he would make a wonderful pet or fiber alpaca. His price is discounted slightly since he is a bit older--spending his yearling year on the show circuit.

	If you like the "dreadlock look" of the Suri alpaca, this boy is for you! Beautiful, silky, chocolate brown fiber would be a dream to process into finished goods. Anthony is very tame and sweet, with huge brown eyes and a face that is irresistable!

	William came to live at the Hacienda at shearing time, and he has found a special place in our hearts. He's a perfect gentlemen , a little shy, and is looking for a home with lots of TLC. His fiber is gorgeous, very crimpy, soft and long--perfect for dying and spinning. William is approximately 4 years old, and would make a wonderful companion for any of the other boys you might be considering bringing home.
