Snowmass Alpacas represents quality, and Amber is no exception. Her Grandsire is Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, the extremely prominent rose grey son of Peruvian Bueno. Casanova was Herdsire of the Year in 2003, and went on to sire Snowmass Nova, who became Herdsire of the Year in 2005. Amber's sire is also a Snowmass male, Snowmass Incan Alpamayo.
We are impressed with Amber not only with her softness and flawless conformation, but by the fact that her pedigree records no less than eight of her ancestors sporting grey fleeces. Amber has a lovely disposition as well, is easy to handle and extremely gentle.
Amber has been bred to Neruda's Gatsby for a Spring, 2012 cria. Gatsby is the multiple blue ribbon winning son of Patagonia's Neruda, who has sired a long list of champions and sold for $205,000 at the Futurity Sale in 2007. We chose this pairing as Gatsby will bring further grey genetics to the table, (we're hoping for grey!) as well as Patagonia bloodlines, extreme softness, lovely head and classic conformation.
Amber would be a wonderful asset to any breeding program, especially those that are looking to start or add to a grey breeding program. Come meet Amber today--we think you'll agree!
