Crescent Moon's Alanis is pretty as a picture--perfectly proportionate with a lovely, super-soft light fawn fleece and extremely stylish head. Her sire is Crescent Moon's Achenar, a stunning bay black male who took two Color Championships and four Blue Ribbons (in large shows), as well as a Second Place at AOBA Nationals 2004, among others. Achenar sported a 17.9 micron, high-frequency crimped fleece his second shearing, and Alanis has obviously inherited her sire's outstanding fleece qualities and conformation for herself.
Alanis gave birth to a gorgeous male cria sired by Crescent Moon's Icon on 6/15/11. Yet to be named, this little male exibits all the characteristics that we had hoped for from this pairing: extremely dense, bright and curly fleece, early signs of substantial leg coverage and strong, compact bone structure. Icon's sire, Peruvian Accoyo Legacy will add additional value to this cria's pedigree, well-recognized as the only alpaca to command a market price of $1.5 million dollars. Since Legacy's passing, these genetics are even more sought after.
Alanis is offered for sale with her male cria at side, and may be rebred at no additional charge. We loved the Icon/Alanis pairing and think you will, too.
Come meet Alans and her new cria today--we know it will be love at first sight!
