Alpaca Fiber--Luxury, Naturally!

Alpaca Fiber

Alpaca fiber is one of the rarest natural fibers in the world.  Luxuriously soft, exceptionally light and warmer than wool, alpaca is prized as much by hand spinners as by some of the most elite fashion houses and commercial textile producers in the world.

Luxurious, versatile, natural and hypoallergenic, alpaca fiber is unique in several ways.  It is sorted into over 20 different natural shades ranging from white, through tans, reds and  browns, to black.  It also includes subtle shades of maroon, peach and gray.  Alpaca fiber can be blended into an infinite array of natural colors, and also blends well with other natural or synthetic fibers.  And, unlike sheep's wool, alpaca fiber consists of a smooth shaft, a trait that reduces the prickly feel often associated with wool clothing.
